EASTER RISING 1916

The last week of April 1916 saw the Easter Rising by Irish Republican groups with a Proclamation of the Republic made in Dublin; it was quickly put down by Crown Forces. Three unarmed members of the Dublin Metropolitan Police and fourteen members of the Royal Irish Constabulary were killed.
