RIC/DMP Interdenominational Service 2016

2014 Commemoration - Mount Argus Church

Our annual interdenominational service to commemorate the over 500 members of the RIC and 14 members of the DMP who were killed between 1916 and 1922 took place at the Church of St Paul of the Cross in Mount Argus, Dublin 6W, on Saturday 27 August 2016 at 2.30pm.

Clergymen from various Christian denominations will officiate at the ceremony which will consist of Old and New Testament readings and some appropriate liturgical music provided by the Garda Ladies Choir directed by Mr. Rodney Baldwin and the Dublin Concert Band. The entire proceedings should last no longer that an hour and will be followed by some light refreshments nearby. the names of the 14 members of the RIC and the names of the 3 members of the DMP who were killed 100 years ago will be read during the ceremony band.

The HARP Society welcomes the wearing of medals – police, military or Garda Siochana medals.
